What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make something for a teenage boy. The skull print was my solution.
What are you most proud of?
The "X" rectangles replicate the crossbones and I thought that the end result looked cool.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Jump in and sew. Rag quilts are fast and easy to make.
I used a generous 1/2" seam to sew the blocks together. This allowed me an extra bit of room so that I didn't cut the stitches when I began to snip the ragging.
