What materials did you use? Various cotton quilting fabrics for top and backing, mid-loft polyester batting, different colored threads

What are you most proud of? Two things... My points are 97% accurate, which is awesome for me! and then, I FMQ-stitched in the ditch the small paws. I'm improving on straight line FMQ, and was able to control the quilt better. I only veered a couple of times, and only one time was it so bad I had to rip seams, the others, I let them go. After washing, I can't tell where the oopsies were!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? As you can tell, I'm not really one for symmetry or "convention", so go out, do some designing on the diagonal and off center, and as always, have fun, enjoy what you do, and your final product will reflect this.

Don't you hate when people just randomly ask, "Can I have a quilt?" Rafa asked me, nicely, so I said I would make him his own, if he bought the materials. He's a cat person, so I decided to include his three little babies on here. He loves a bear paw, so... duh! He mostly chose the colors and I worked on the design. The backing is my own creation. His name and his three kitties are represented. The leaves for the background seemed an obvious choice, and inspiration is courtesy of the Inbox Jaunt blog, via Wazoo Sue on here [Thanks for posting your awesome creation, Sue!!] Okay, enouh talking. I'll shut up now.

Terrific. It is like reading the footprints of a family of bears. Even the back is great.

The back tells you who the bears on the front are. Rafa Daddy-bear, and the three baby-kitty-bears. He LOVED it, I guess. He even posted pics on FaceBook already! That makes me happy knowing he liked what was made for him and his feline family.

I have done that photography class! It is awesome, loved the teacher. I love your quilts!

thanks, Lisa. I am seriously considering getting a new/better camera, and a class on how to actually use it correctly might come in handy, since I do my own quilt pics! LOL

OOOh! I love Rafa's Bear Paw Pride. Beautiful colours.

Thank you. He chose the colors, which are very autumn-y and outdoors-y, so I got an image of the bears walking over a bed of fallen leaves, on their way to hibernate for the winter.... or something like that. hahaha.

How did I miss this awesome quilt! I love everything about it. I especially like how you match your design sense with the personality and life of the recipient! P.S. How do you keep up with new projects posted by people you follow? Ever since they changed how projects are seen/shared I have had a challenging time seeing new projects.

Hi, Dena. Thanks for your always kind and generous words. As far as keeping up with new projects, I just periodically check the page of people I am following, and review who has new projects. I did like it when we got updates once a week [on Fridays, if I remember correctly] telling you of the new activity. Too bad that was discontinued.
