What was your inspiration?
I participated in the Southern Tier Quilts of Valor Marathon for Veteran's Day -- in Corning, NY
What are you most proud of?
I was there for ten hours! It was a fun, all day event. Making the quilt was easy...but the 43 volunteers were so wonderful that I couldn't stay away. It was a community event - local restaurants and businesses donated raffle items and food...lots of food!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Go slowly when piecing. The strips are long, so there might be a tendency to not pay attention to that 1/4" seam.
