Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Unisex

Style: Retro / Vintage, Whimsical, Funky

Materials

12" calico squares, batting, varegated thread, sewing machine & darning foot, felt-tip pen

What was your inspiration?

After seeing lot of plain teardrops being called Paisley, I wanted to see if I could quilt something more like the patterns I know as paisley.

What are you most proud of?

I like the swirling flourishes better than the paisley, but it's something to keep thinking about.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Ordinary cheap felt-tip markers can be used to draw in fabric, be ironed over and still wash out easily with nothing more than cold water and a little laundry liquid - I washed this in the bathroom sink in a few minutes.

Great job! I haven't tried this type of quilting, but would love to one day.
