Instructions

The pattern calls for 35 5" charms. However, I wanted to use a yard of lighthouse fabric so I substituted two 18 1/2 by 13 1/2 pieces of fabric for the the front and back of the bag. I cut three charms for the outside pocket. I did not use charms for the inside pockets. I used my main fabric cut to accommodate the items I carry in a handbag. This is the third time I have made this bag and each time it goes faster and I adapt it to my needs.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just use a pattern as a guide--make changes to suit your needs.

Sorry, I bought the fabric in Maine about three years ago. During the summer, I have seen similar fabric on line and locally at Joann store.fabric in Maine about three years ago
