This was designed by me using Ricky Tims' "kool kaleidoscope" book. The quilting pattern was partially designed by Carla Barrett. I originally had planned to quilt the star, not just the black area. However, once I did the quilting in the ditch in the star, I really liked the trapunto effect so I left it.Difficulty:

Seeing Ricky Tims' show on doing this quilt.
What are you most proud of?
My quilting. This is the second kaleidoscope quilt I've done. The quality of my quilting has really improved! I've also lost my fright of doing complex quilting patterns.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Enjoy! Making the quilt was a lot of fun.
