For: Home
Style: Casual
Materials
A heavy linen/cotton curtain fabric.
What was your inspiration?
I had made two pencil cases following Kirsten's pattern and became ambitious. This was a Sunday morning project and a great stress-buster.
What are you most proud of?
Adding the quilting design myself. It was a necessity really, because I didn't have any fusible fleece. I'm not sure you can even buy it in the UK!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use a fabric marker pen to mark out your quilting pattern accurately before you start and use a walking foot if you have one. It gives much more reliable results.
