What materials did you use? Fabric, batting, threads, couching materials.

What are you most proud of? I like the way each side is different ... I tried to pay attention to that when selecting the couching materials and threads. The "red" side uses a multi-colored metalic thread for the quilting stitching and the "yellow" side uses a silver metallic thread - I like the difference.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would love some advice from anyone who has ideas about how to do something with the inside seam so it does not show when you open the case. I'm not sure how to add some kind of lining or cover before sewing the side seams, or perhpas after the seam is sewed something could be added? Warning! I did not know that sewing velcro can become sticky! I had to change and clean my machine needle as the thread started to stick and break. May be best to hand stitch the side of the velcro that has the strong adhesive!

very cool!

Nice case! I have a couple of suggestions for you. About the velcro, use the non-sticky kind. I also learned that lesson the hard way! Also, instead of sewing right sides together, try putting rattail binding all around the edges and then sew wrong sides together.
