What materials did you use? 2 sweatshirts, 40 or so fat quarters, buttons, thread.

What are you most proud of? Love the Spring Colors!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't try to skimp on the fabric. Do it exactly the way the directions say or it won't look right! (I had a student who tried to take short cuts and it looked cheap).

That looks fantastic. Congrats on a job well done. Cheers, Karen

I am interested in doing a quilted jacket out of fleece, I want to use 3 or 4 different colors for the front and back leaving the sleeves and collar solid...I am pleased to see your picture of quilted jacket its beautiful

It's done on the base of 2 sweatshirts using the sweatshirts as the foundation.

I have never seen anything like this...and please do not be offended. Even before I saw it on the full screen, I thought to myself, how nice that would be for a lady in hospital as a robe. I would certainly wear this coat. It is stunning. One thing I do not understand yet...is why did it use 2 sweatsuits? Were they cut up as part of the fabric somehow? I am interested in quilting so this is all new to me. I have done some small stuff...but this is over the top..Gorgeous.

Not at all offended! I wish I'd had it in the hospital after the birth of each of my girls-no breeze on the backside! The second sweatshirt is cut off under the armpits and sewn to the bottom of the whole sweatshirt on top-making the sweatshirt base longer.
