What materials did you use? Fabric stripsOne piece of fabric for insideBattingVelcroSewing machine and threads NOTE: Those who have requested a pattern - I posted a new Quilted Cell Phone Holder 2 in purple with directions in the text.

What are you most proud of? LOL - I tried my hand at free motion quilting and really messed it up because the tension was off so the back was a mess. I actually took that all out and decided to stick to the regular quilting foot until I practice more. The holes ironded out and I don't think anyone would know. Just glad I stuck with it I guess!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Think through what you can do before sewing the sides... will save time later! It turned out a little bigger than the cell phone but now I could add some cards and use it in the summer.

I made a new one of these and added directions. Please select Projects.... Quilting...and then in the search box type Quilted Cell Phone Cover and you will see this one and next to it a purple one that has directions. Just adjust the size of the original pieces to match your phone and it should work out.

What level of quilting would it be

This is very simple quilting. After I sewed the strips of fabric together I added a piece of batting and a backing. Then I just stitched straight lines about 1/4" apart across. That was all of the quilting.

Do you have any free quilting projects with templates that I can save and print off at a latter time

Hi, I don't have any quilting projects with templates on hand. I know I have some PDFs of patterns I have collected. There are many free patterns on Craftsy - just do a search the patterns and then order them by expense and the free ones will be first. Also, here is a link to Interweave. If you go here you can sign up and get all of these free patterns. They also have them for Crochet, Knit and other crafts: http://www.interweave.com/quilting/
