What was your inspiration?

The middle-sized and small bags were mistakes! I started out trying to make a Nook holder for a friend and the end result was too small. I liked the design, so I cut down the fabric and made the middle-sized bag. I liked it but since it was small so I made another one which is the larger one.

Then I was trying to make a little credit card holder, but, when I finished, it was too small to hold credit cards! I realized it was just the right size for two lipsticks so, that's whay I use it for now!

What are you most proud of?

That I turned mistakes into something I could use.

I eventully made the Nook holder, but forgot to take a picture before giving it away.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I did not realzie how much room the batting and lining take up. When planning something that will hold things, be sure to add extra room besides the seam allowance!

Thanks so much.... these were really fun. I think it's time to tackle something a little bigger though! I am taking the course on modern quilting and really like some of those!

Good luck! They are great for using scraps and practicing techniques for larger items.
