Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Cute, Casual

Materials

Cotton, cotton thread, cotton/poly back, poly batting

What are you most proud of?

I am proud of the quilt, and the binding. All of it. This is my first bigger sized quilt with three layers, my other two twin quilts did not have a middle layer. I love this, everything about it, it's gonna be hard to part with!

Sometimes we just must make something beautiful for ourselves, to make us happy over our accomplishment, to reveal our inner talents to others... even our messy children.

OxyClean Gel is pretty amazing. My daughter somehow managed to get a giant blob of bright blue highllighter on one of my table runners and with that gel it actually came out.

Just beautiful well done. Like your picture frame black border then the white and then binding. Great idea.

Thank you. It's actually dark blue with flowers (one of the fabrics in the quilt)

This is so very pretty! Beautiful fabric choices and well placed blocks. The border and binding pull it all together into a lovely finish. Do you have to part with it? I have a horrible time giving away my quilts unless they go to my children or grandchildren.

No, I don't have to part with it, and I LOVE the purples and blues, I really love the fabric, but the white... I have three kids, three messy kids... I don't think the white will last long in this house.

It'll wash - you keep it - you can always make something else to give away!
