What materials did you use?
Various red and black and white prints with kona white and a freespirit solid in red, I think true red?
Great job. I love your colors. I am about to complete mine also.
Thank you. It was inspired by someone who did black, white and red in the 2012 block of the month.
Really love what you did with color and fabric.......too cute :)
Would like to finish mine as you have, but not sure about the size of the flying geese or the layout. have been going nuts trying to piece the different sizes together :/.........Any suggestions??
If you look at the first pdf file from January, the first page has a colored image, and one of the black and white pictures tells you the finished size of each section of the quilt. I deviated from the borders in the pattern as I wanted to use up some of the scraps and not make that many half square triangles. On the pdf she labels each of the background spacers, so you know what size to cut them. Hope that helps!
Wow! Just wow!!
I think I'm going to leave the basket block out as well, is that a steam punk you added in place of it? I love that block, perhaps you could direct me to a tutorial. Thanks
It isn't a tutorial, it is a block that is in Elizabeth Hartman's book Modern Patchwork. One of the reasons I was tempted to buy the book. There are lots of good patterns in it, but this is the first as one I have done.
