What was your inspiration?
The upcoming baby! I wanted to make some items that were not the "usual" and not knowing (at the time) the sex of the baby, I decided not to use the Pink and Blue for the quilt and went with the more Nature inspired colors and the outer border (to me) represents the 100 acre wood - of which the Winnie-the-Pooh is said to reside in. Then I saw the book pattern and thought it would match as well. The pillow I made from the scraps of the quilt. On another project there is the diaper cake (in the back ground) I made for them too. The quilt measures 45.5 w x 44 L.
What are you most proud of?
How well they were received by the parents-to-be. I also love the Winn-the-Pooh applique and how cute it looks on there.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It was not done in one day- so take your time and decide the size you want to make, then make sure you have enough materials before beginning, and as always, have fun!
