100% cotton fabrics and thread

What was your inspiration?

The imminent birth of a second grandchild whose gender we didn't know. I wanted to make something that would be appropriate for either a boy or a girl. (She's a girl!)

What are you most proud of?

That I cut out all of the bears instead of buying them in a kit... Also, I'm proud of the choice of fabrics and "making do" with less of the background fabric by putting a stripe down the middle of the reverse that would match some of the fabrics on the front.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Appliqueing the little bears by hand takes a lot of time! I wasn't proficient at machine appliqu when I made this, so I did it all by hand.

Looks like gummy bears. Also, love anything sewn by hand:) Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! In retrospect, I'm glad I appliqud the bears all by hand so someday this little girl will know there's actual "handwork" in it!
