What are you most proud of? How it came together, just as I imagined.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Tackle it one letter at a time. Start with largest open areas and fill with the largest flowers first. Then fill in smaller spaces with smaller flowers and leaves as you go. http://craftingcreatures.blogspot.ca/2010/01/quilled-jade.html Although I don't have a tutorial showing how I quilled the letters, I do show how to make the flowers here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/59669115/quilling-flowers-pdf-pattern-tutorial

Thank you for commenting on your project of quilling. I think I'll purchase your class on quilling and give it a try. It is so beautiful.

Hi webdebi, I'm thrilled to hear you enjoy my work, but I'm sorry that I don't have a quilling class to offer.

Which font did you use in illustrator to create those letters?

Hi anuradhay, I used Palatino, but you can use any font you wish as long as it gives enough room for your flowers in the middle area. Hope that helps you out. Cecelia

Hi Cecelia....What kind of glue do you use for Quilling and where can I find Quilling paper or do you cut your own strips of paper? Thanks it it is beautiful technique if I can get the hang of it.

Hi webdebi, I use Aleene's Tacky Glue and Martha Stewart's All Purpose Gel Adhesive. Here is my blog post that goes into more details about why: http://paperzen.blogspot.ca/2014/05/quilled-poppy-4-new-glue-love.html I have bought my paper from an online store in Canada, but since having my Silhouette SD die cutter, have been cutting my own paper because I can choose a thicker weight paper. I have more details here in my blog post: http://paperzen.blogspot.ca/2014/06/diy-quilling-strips-tutorial-with-free.html I know you'll get the hang of it if you keep trying - everything in life is just like that right? Even riding a bike! :D Happy quilling to you! Cecelia

Cecelia, Thank you for getting back to me with your blog info. I am all signed up for a card/scrapbooking class, so have been putting my energy into that. But, I love the delicate effects of quilling. I will go into your blog addresses and hopefully watch .and learn. Thank you again for the info.
