What are you most proud of? How it came together, just as I imagined.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Tackle it one letter at a time. Start with largest open areas and fill with the largest flowers first. Then fill in smaller spaces with smaller flowers and leaves as you go. http://craftingcreatures.blogspot.ca/2010/01/quilled-jade.html Although I don't have a tutorial showing how I quilled the letters, I do show how to make the flowers here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/59669115/quilling-flowers-pdf-pattern-tutorial

This is the most gorgeous project I've ever seen. This it's what I want to do, where I'm not working on a card or in a book. You are wonderfully talented. I lwant to attempt to make this for my granddaughter. Where would I start. Would you tell me how these beautiful letters and flowers are made and let me know what I need too begin. My email address:cole4pack@yahoo.com my name is Diane Cole I live in Cross Lanes WV. Also I want to see your other project. Thank you!!

Hi dcolepack, thanks so much for your kind words! There are many things about the process, so here are more sources of what I've made. I go into more detail for the Jade project on my blog post here: http://paperzen.blogspot.ca/2010/01/quilled-jade.html I have instructions on how to make the flowers here: http://www.craftsy.com/project/view/quilling-flowers/42708 I have also just authored a quilling book! In there I show my quilling techniques: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1454707844/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1454707844&linkCode=as2&tag=crafting0d2-20 To see more of my work, I post regularly on my blog here: http://paperzen.blogspot.ca/ I do hope you'll give quilling a try! Hi klawlor, thanks for your kind words! I printed out the letters from my computer, lay them on top of my colored paper and cut them out. I show how to quill the flowers here: http://www.craftsy.com/project/view/quilling-flowers/42708
