What advice would you give someone starting this project? You need to do plenty of research to get ideas and that will relate to the child you are making if for. I am making mine for my beautiful little granddaughter Elise, who is soon to be One years of age! I got lots of ideas from the above website and others. I also used techniques for the applique that I learned from this wonderful class.

It looks as though you're having fun, Desna! Do please keep us up to date with how you're getting on - I'm very intrigued by the idea of a fabric book and love the sunny teddy (or whatever!). What a brilliant idea! (When I first saw the picture I thought it was going to be a cushion!!)

Thanks Pat... I saw felt quiet books on instagram but as I love fabric I searched for ideas and have nearly completed my first book! I will have to make two more for my other two grandkids. Part of the fun with this is researching for new ideas and using different textures. I will keep you posted when I put the finished book up.

Ooops! It's not a teddy (sorry!) - it's a LION - of course!
