What was your inspiration?

Hubby and I started to travel after our recent retirement. I noticed that I have a tendency to pack a few more shoes than he does. I did not want to use plastic bags, so I created fabric shoe bags instead. x

What are you most proud of?

The fact that I could use fabric pieces from my stash The beauty of this project is that it is recyclable and washable..

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Open yourself to exploring and trying out ideas to use your fabric stash. For this project, I did not like how elastic looked so I opted to use a drawstring for the top closure opening. I position a button hole about 1/2 to 3/4 inch down from the top of the outer layer. Add a casing and then you can insert the drawstring.
