Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn*: 1 3.5 oz skeins 39119 Denim Heather - color A 2 3.5 oz skeins 39008 Natural - color B 1 2.8 oz skeins 40012 Nature's Way - color C * or other brand bulky 5 yarn. Most yarns have an icon on the label that gives the size of yarn - you can also select a thinner yarn and adjust the hook size, but the finished product will be a different size.
What was your inspiration?
My niece, Olivia, passed away at 4 1/2 mos old from Zelwegger Syndrome - a rare chromosomal genetic disorder. My sister and I began crocheting for charity after Olivia's death in honor of her memory. Please consider donating your finished product to your local hospital NICU.
What are you most proud of?
The way the color pattern turned out. I really like it and it looks great in a variety of different colored yarns.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This pattern stitch is one of my favorites. It works up fast and reminds me of lattice work. It is very easy. Check out all of my free patterns here: http://crochetbymonica.gather.com/ and follow me on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/crochetbymonica. God bless you every day!
