I like Batiks for these blocks. Cotton seems to stretch a little. I love the variations in the Batiks. It really sets the block off. I Absolutely hated paper piecing until I took this class. Peggy has managed to make me Absolutely love Paper Piecing. I can now do any paper piece, with her tecnique and complete it. I am so excited!! What was your inspiration?

I am not sure I even had an idea of what I was going to turn out. I just knew I liked these colors.

What are you most proud of?

That I can Paper Piece and not have to tear out.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you hate Paper Piecing like I did TAKE THIS CLASS!! Peggy will teach you to love it and her technique will open up a new world for you. She is such a wonderful teacher. You will be able to do any paper piece after this class with ease.

beautiful blocks...I too have taken Peggy's class and loved her teaching style...I'm looking foward to making my first paper pieced block!! Got to get to that sewing machine!!

I loved reading your bio and finding out that you are doing such wonderful things with your quilting...I'm sure that you are bringing much joy to many. I'd love to see your chicken (rooster??) piece... Why don't you post it? I am taking the photo quilting piecing class (something like that!,) and I love it. I'm spending all my time watching classes and have not made anything! But I love every one of the classes, and I especially love all the teachers! They are amazing! Take a look at the "pictorial quilts class...you would love it! Are you going to do the 2013 BOM quilt? I hope to do it and be able to share with all the wonderful members of Craftsy!
