What was your inspiration?

I created an online crocheting tutorial with videos called Crochet 101 (http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.action?grpId=3659174697252379&articleId=281474977689024) and needed an easy project for the class. This pattern stitch is one of my favorites. Also, My niece, Olivia, passed away at 4 1/2 mos old from Zelwegger Syndrome - a rare chromosomal genetic disorder. My sister and I began crocheting for charity after Olivia's death in honor of her memory. So, I made one of the requirements for the free tutorials be that the finished product be donated. Please consider donating your finished product to your local hospital NICU.

How easy the pattern is for a brand new crocheter to learn!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
