What materials did you use? Cotton Fabrics, 30/70 Polyester/Cotton batting. Satin ribbon (to bind).

A simple design, but it is oh, so lovely. Pretty soft colors and you have a beautiful, straight, flat quilt!

Did you use Ann's method of splitting the top? Was it difficult to add the borders? Your results are very nice.

Hi Scheri - I quilted it all as one, the batting was fairly light so barring the very centre squares there wasn't a huge amount of trouble in getting it through the machine. The tip about positioning an ironing board to help with the excess quilt at the side was VERY useful when it came to the borders to help keep everything straight but they're nice and simple to do - I think it just gives it that finishing touch. Ann - Thankyou! The straighness and flatness came from the many tips in this class. I got everything I hoped I would from it and it's shown in the quality of my finish for sure.
