Thanks, KKM, I would love to see where your QR Code quilt takes me to! Please do post when you make it! Thanks, Dhalia, yes this was a gift from the heart. A challenging project too! I appreciate you following me and my work.
This is what I'm wanting to do for my grandson for graduation, I have the photo of what his name is. Now that you have done such a beautiful job, do you have any tips to follow?
Hello, DeeMcD! My few tips for success would be to have patience, because you just cannot rush this. Also, double-, triple-, and quadruple-check that you are following the pattern to the letter, because one small missed square and the code won't work. If you read my description, you will see I had to go back and correct the quilt top. NOT FUN? And as always, cut accurately, and sew accurately because you are going to have to match a LOT of seams and corners. There are a couple of online tutorials and videos, so do an online search to help you get an idea of how to start this madness. And one last bit of advice, have fun and enjoy the process. I hope you post your project when you do it, I would love to see it! Hope my tips are useful to you. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Thanks for your tips. I had better get started on this because it is for a graduation present for my grandson. The middle of May. AAAAHHHHHHH! And for a granddaughter who is graduating I'm in the middle of piecing a Lover's Knot in browns and teals. They will probably to settle for a pieced top, and I'll quilt by hand later.
