What materials did you use? Scraps from my stash, outdoor canvas fabric for the bottom, cotton thread, zipper, Pellon stabilizer and batting.

What are you most proud of? The addition of my water bottle holder into the bag. If I'm going to carry the bag with me it has to be functional. I don't want to have a bunch of stuff in there and have to be searching around for my water bottle. Also it helps keep it upright so it doesn't spill. Also the installation of the zipper pocket, it was easy and I definitely need practice, my corners puckered pretty bad but I don't think anyone else will care but me :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take you time for sure. The binding was the worst part for me, I don't like it and will probably use the machine/hand stitch method for the next bag. Tara wasn't lying when she said that sewing the binding would be a lesson in awkwardness, it's totally awkward and can be frustrating if you're trying to rush things.

This is so fun! I love it!

Thank you! I've had some requests to make bags for my friends who have kiddos. One of my mommy friends thinks this is the perfect travel purse with enough space to carry extra wipes and diapers.

Love your bag :-) The more I see of this Class' projects the more I'm interested in taking it!

Thanks!!! It's a wonderful class, even if you don't make anything right away it's a good technique to have in your stash for a later date. It's also an amazing way to use up scraps in the ever growing scrap basket.
