What was your inspiration?
A friend of mine was wearing a linen dress with a similar silhouette and I realized I got the idea for this one using the Anda pattern I already had.
What are you most proud of?
The bias trim on the neckline and arm holes.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I like the simplicity of the Anda dress, but I decided to change neckline to make it more of a square/scoop neck.
I also added gray buttons and bound cording to the bodice. I thought it would give it a cute vintage look without it being frilly.
This is the tutorial I used to learn how to make the cording: http://www.coletterie.com/tutorials-tips-tricks/vintage-details-surface-cording-tutorial
A side note This fabric rubs purple dye onto some surfaces. I think Ill have to wash it by itself before I wear it again. Also, I think I will add side seam pockets to this dress, I didnt think of doing that until I wore it the first time.
