What was your inspiration?
I'm in the mood for lightweight long coats. Found the fabric at L&M in Anaheim CA, fabric cost $15, and found amazing vintage buttons that just sealed the deal
What are you most proud of?
Because I was using upholstery fabric, I didn't want a double layer on the front and back like the pattern called for - so I faced the coat instead, including the skirt. Added a pocket using instructions from : Cool Couture by Kenneth King.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a coat for beginners - follow the instructions, don't improvise unless you are very comfortable.
