Materials

This was a fun project using re-purposed tin cans that fruit came in. I opened the cans from the bottom with a safety can opener. After cleaning I decorated the cans with Martha Stewart Valentine Day paper and Tim Holtz paper. I made the flowers with Tim Holtz die, the hearts with my cricut, and used assorted ribbons.

What was your inspiration?

I saw this done on youtube by a crafter named Yolibean...thank you~~and wanted to make something for my grand daughters to give their teachers for Valentines Day..

What are you most proud of?

I think they came out very cute, and one could make these for any holiday.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Start saving all your tin cans with a pull tab top. Do not open the top, use a safety can open (the manual one, it is called a safety can open). I used glossy accents for glue when replacing the bottom...
