What materials did you use? 100% cotton 'scraps' I bought at the annual Keepsake Quilting Tent Sale in June. Several coordinating prints I was able to find and put together through the great sale on scraps! I used embroidery thread for the quilting.

What are you most proud of? That although I've never sewn curved quilt pieces before, I dove in figuring it can't be that hard. And surprisingly it wasn't!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Enjoy the process and the unique visual appeal of this pattern! So many great fabrics would do well with this template! For a more 'mature' quilt, I can see dots and stripes or perhaps bright batiks! I have a feeling I will use this template many times. Even my husband and son commented on how cool it looks, that means it was absolutely an eye catcher!! Since I reduced the template down to 60%, sewing the curves was a little trickier and required more manipulation to ease in the pieces, so perhaps you have fabric that will allow you to use it full size and have an easier go at the curved piecing. But I will say, fear not!! If I could do it and never have pieced curves before and succeed, you can too!

It's very nice Nancy, you did such a great job on the scalloped binding too! Such a wonderful cause as well, nicely done!
