Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Charity

Style: Cute, Whimsical

Materials

100% cotton fabrics, variegated embroidery thread for the quilt top and back, 100% cotton lightweight batting.

What was your inspiration?

Children in need is the basis for doing the Project Linus blankets to donate to children in hospitals. Having so many sweet bear prints, they were perfect to combine in a colorful primary array with a bold and bright yellow framing.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Let a piece or pieces of fabric inspire you to create a unique quilt. I prefer to see a fabric, then find a quilt design to use it rather than finding a design and then finding fabrics. Of course that means I never know how much fabric I need! But a fabric "stash" is always a good thing! That way, when you're in the mood to be creative, your "stash" will get you started on your next project.

I'm having too much fun making the Linus quilts!! Not enough hours in the day for all the fabrics I have at hand!
