Little Duffers pattern by Mindie Tallack, Stitch Nation Full O'Sheep feltable wool yarn and heart buttons.

What was your inspiration?

Our little friend Chloe. Her birthday is February 11th, very close to Valentines Day.

What are you most proud of?

It's not really for me to be proud of, but I LOVE that this project is relatively quick, turns out beautifully, is functional and perfect for gifts.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you don't already know Judy's magic cast-on, go for it! By my third pair, I had it down pat and it is soooo much quicker. Also, when felting the first pair, I didn't felt long enough. As long as your slippers are not too small, the stitch definition should disappear and you should have a nice thick fabric. I had better luck felting my slippers without putting them in a bag and with a nice big bath towel. If you do this, use a towel that is similar in color to your slippers. Also, I chose to trim all the fuzz off my slippers with a pair of scissors. That helps with any lint from the towel and makes it easier to add puff paint to the bottoms (makes the slippers less slippery).
