Great way to recycle.Can you leave it out doors?

I'm not sure if you can do that as it is meant to be used as a gift box (sorry, I forgot to mention that). However, to make it somewhat water-resistant, I have lined the inside of the box with cargo tape whereas the outside has been covered entirely with cellophane tape.
