Project Cupid - Owl Be Yours Baby Afghan

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Infant/Baby

Style: Casual, Holiday, Cute

Materials

acrylic yarn, fabric

What was your inspiration?

I noticed that babies in carriers just never be able to have a blanket stay on them. This blanket is heavy enough to stay put, small enough that it won't bunch up, and cute enough to make everyone go "Awww"

What are you most proud of?

I learned a new technique to sew the corners of the blanket - I think it give it a more finished look.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Create the squares and attach them all first - then use that to measure and cut the fabric. Don't try to cut the fabric before. (first hand experience on that one...)

What a great blanket not just for babies, but for kids too, as they grow up and kids still want that special blanket they had when they were babies.
