What materials did you use? Cotton batik, various couching materials, various threads

What are you most proud of? Learning how to use the stitches on my sewing machine. Adjusting tension is still a challenge to make the stitches sew properly. I am still learning how to do hand-embroidery and finding the proper needle makes this process much more efficient. I watched a lot of YouTube videos for additional information on embroidery techniques.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Patience is a requirement even though there are "no mistakes." There are quite a few items to provide the look you want that need to be assembled such as a variety of threads for sewing and hand-embroidery, miscellaneous couching materials, and fusible fleece and Wonder Under. I have not attempted the mounting suggestions. I did purchase the book with samples to get started.

Thanks, Pam. This one was a struggle because I used it to try different things. Some didn't work but I kept going so I could finally finish. Some threads just don't want to cooperate and some stitches like to get along. LOL
