I am sure that you would enjoy the class - I certainly did and would not refer to myself as a fabric artist.... but gainig confidence largely due to the class

CAROL - MY IMAGINATION IS RUNNING WILD!... can one create simple art in this work e.g. a company of snails consuming a bunch of Nisturtium leaves?!! How do I create depth to the design? - by cutting only2 or 3 layers? would this be effective or not? Butterflies how do I bring out the different spot colours?

I think depth and colour differentiation can be achieved by selectively cutting the fabric and by the colour values used. I used four layers of fabric but you are not limited to that. Generally speaking the top couple of layers will appear the least, with the bottom layers taking more prominence. Therefore, the colours or designs that you really want to show should be in your bottom layers.

This reminds me of VanGogh's "Starry Nights", one of my favs.
