What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? It is a bunch of fruits at the tender stage, what I was interested was the color and contrast created due afternoon lighting

Can you tell us about any special equipment or techniques that you used? I used my Canon EOS 7D with my EF 17-40mm F3,5-F5.6 L wide angel lens. It was a handheld shot from the my house balcony.

I tried connect main subject with rest of the trees with contrast, lighting. But there is a distraction, of blue sky at the background. Had I tried to eliminate the sky with a better composition, I believe it would have been a better photo. Rob, your instructions and first tutorial is helping me to look at my photos differently. More specifically, how the main subject could be connected to rest of landscape in terms of color, contrast, texture etc. As you said, it is the decision of the photographer to decide what any photograph is trying to convey to the viewer. In other words, what details of the any photo that will interest the viewer and how his or her eyes guided throughout the photo. I have to tell you your lessons are very clear understand and you honest way to share your abundance experience with people like us.

Thanks for your nice comments! There are some good things happening to the light here, but also some distractions. You have the right idea around the fruit. Also, there is an interesting visual relationship between fruit and blue sky spots. If you cropped in tighter, you would emphasize this relationship. Now, you are getting a lot of spots of light on branches around the edge that are providing bright spots to attract the viewer's eye and become distractions.

Thanks Robert, I understood your comments. What you say, I need to crop the image and get rid of the blue spots to make the main subject more emphasized.
