My first attempt on a 10" square. I had so much fun today. I used some handdyed cotton as a background For couching I used handspun yarns, silk hankies, ric rac and a suede cord. For the machine embroidery I used some all purpose thread, thick and thin, metallic and gradient yarn. The machine stitches cross, at some points I like the result, at others ... well a nice experiment I couldn't stop stitching, so there is not so much place for hand embroidery. There are no mistakes, love that, happy to have played with all the techniques so far. I think this can be very addictive....

Your design is very original and exciting! Nice job and thanks for sharing! (Yes, is IS addictive but I don't tell everyone that before they start!)
