What was your inspiration?
Was asked a a purple unicorn - that was it. So...all my thoughts went haywire in pinks and purples and flowers for the little princesses birthday request. I didn't want to use too much fondant so i made my unicorns out of candy chocolate melts and ligth corn syrup (modeling chocolate) and with a little tricky coloring & sparkly dust - they shined! Now, yeah...after it was all said and done I noticed that my purple unicorn does look as though he has ....err....pooped a rainbow...but hey, it actually fits for all the parents out there - insert chuckle here* tee hee
What are you most proud of?
well this one wasn't that complicated, so I was most proud of the fact I was asked on Thursday late night, made it Friday and delivered on Saturday....AND I did get a little sleep in there...ha ha that's pretty good for me when I get in cake mode ;o)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't stress on spur of the moment requests, it will all fall into place once you get things rolling - just try to stay on track!
