Just wanted to thank Lynda for a great class! I didn't make the dress but I used her thread-marking technique to fit a muslin for a blouse I'd already made. The fit was pretty good (thanks to lots of trial and error!) but when I used the class method to adjust a muslin, a lot of small problems got fixed. Amusingly, I had enough fabric left to make another blouse, so you can see the difference is in the fit, not the fabric. The photos don't show it all that well, but the neckline sits better and I used to always get diagonal pull lines on the sides of my princess seams. Those are gone now! (Also some other problems cleared up but since you can't really see them in the photos, I'll just skip those) I took Lynda's method one step farther: I basted the grain line in several places on each pattern piece, wherever I suspected I had a fitting problem. I found this helped because some of the lines were OK but others pulled or sagged. Thanks for a very helpful class!

Oh, forgot to add: the first version has the more rounded neckline, the second is more V-shaped.
