Princess Gown

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Irelyn's Peek-A-Boo Ruffle Dress Pattern »

Instructions

Working with the polyester satin on this project added a bit of extra challenge because the fabric does not crease well - even with an iron. Generous pinning is important to prevent the fabric from slipping out of place when sewing.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Girls

Style: Cute

Materials

Polyester satin

What was your inspiration?

Princess gown.

What are you most proud of?

Finishing it in one night - LOL!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Sketch out the colour placement of all your fabrics in advance. Write a list of all the cuts with the corresponding fabrics for each cut. There are a lot of ruffled pieces in this project so its good to have a list of each piece you will need.

If you have a shirring foot or ruffler foot for your machine, take advantage and use it - its will make the ruffling much faster.
