What was your inspiration?
I signed up for a Downton Abby KAL/CAL (crochet or knit-a-long) on Ravelry, and felt like a scarf/shawl would be fun to make. I loved the pointy border in this pattern, and decided to do it.
What are you most proud of?
This is my very first experience with doing a wet blocking. For years, I've just used inexpensive acrylics and projects where I didn't need to "do" anything but knit/crochet the thing. Then I started to expand my knitty/crochet/yarn knowledge, and a whole new world opened up for me. So though I've "damp-blocked" a couple items, this was the first real soak-in-Eucalan-and-wet-block item. Love it so far!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just do it! The pattern is SUPER easy.
