What was your inspiration?
This project had the look of needle turned applique which I love.
What are you most proud of?
I'm really proud of the way it turned out. I love doing handwork, but am unable to do much of it any more. Using the machine to stitch down the appliques was easy and I still had the opportunity to add a little hand embroidery.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Go for it!! Using a foundation and glue stick to prepare pieces for applique is so much easier than templates that use a hot iron and starch.
