Charming Tote

Instructions

No, just use good fabric - would work to use special batting that insulates as well for lunches etc.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Hipster, Cute, Traditional, Casual, Whimsical, Classic, Romantic, Mod, Funky, Retro / Vintage, Holiday

Materials

Moda fabric - charm squares and some yardage for the handles and lining.....use whatever you have its a great scrappy tote

What was your inspiration?

My favorite tote pattern and thought it was time I had one to take to work for my own lunch and shopping! Keep making them for everyone else.

What are you most proud of?

Using fabric from Deb Strain Moda that I brought over from Australia....was going to make a quilt but got too many projects underway now....and this is such a happy print! Made the button on the front myself...put a little magnetic clasp inside with two pockets to hold my coffee! and phone etc...great size.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use good batting - the type for bags etc, not the quilting type - it gives it firmer shape and holds up better with the wear and tear.
