What was your inspiration?
My mom. I made a donation through a magazine ad that I found, and received this free pattern in exchange. I made this as a congratulations gift for my mom when she completed her chemo treatments the first time. It became a symbol for her during her term as Worthy Grand Matron in OES (Eastern Star), and is her mantra and motto.
What are you most proud of?
That my work touched my mom in a way I never expected.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Choose materials you have experience with, or make sure you give yourself time to learn the specific nuances that go with new materials. I had never worked with linen before, and so this project took much longer than I had anticipated.
