What are you most proud of? I still need more practice but I can say by the time I got to mug rug number four I was much quicker and my threads are barely visible and I even though I'm not that great at turning with the needle {i was using my fingers alot... LOL} I would never have even tried this without the class. And this looks sooooo much better than my usual applique which was to sew right sides together cut thru the back and flip which makes them bulky around the seam and then I would attach with my machine. From now on I will be doing ALL my applique like that. And you don't even need fusible web {which I have never used on applique because I don't like the stiffness of it.}

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just to try it even if you don't think you can. Take the class and listen to Sarah, she knows what she's talking about.

That's a technique I've never tried and your enthusiasm is catching! I'm going to have to live to be 200 years old to do everything I want to do! Your mug rugs are very nice with wonderfully neat applique.

They are adorable! You are right it's best to practice on something smaller first, before going for the gold! =)
