Instructions

Just keep practicing! That is the only way to improve. At some point, leave the practice sandwiches and go onto a quilt. I have not gotten to that point yet, but I am planning to soon.

Well done! I've done a bit of FMQ, but nothing as complex as this. Your stitches are very nice and even too - mine end up being all sorts of lengths! I suppose practice makes perfect (and I need lots more practice!).

Thank you Pat! I found one of the most important things I needed to learn is just because the machine sounds like it is going fast, I don't have to more the fabric fast. Slow and steady, although sometimes I lose the pace and get to moving the fabric too fast and then mess up my pattern.

I found that to make sharp points on the leaves, I needed to pause before stitching back down to the base. Sometime it didn't work and therefore a paisley was formed instead. Ophs!
