Hi Redgecko. I think this is a great attempt at FMQ. Don't get discouraged, straight lines take a LOT of practice. I certainly can't FMQ a straight line. Wendy was not exaggerating when she mentioned in her class that it takes hundreds of hours of practice. Is this how you plan on doing the birds quilt- FMQ your own designs? That is going to look really nice. Cheers!

Thank you, really appreciate the encouragement! I still haven't decided if I'm going to just stitch the ditch or attempt something like my practice piece. I found some stencils that I will practice on.

That's a great idea, having your practice fabric with a picture on it to practice FMQ on it. I will have to look for some 'picture' fabric on sale to do that with. Great first attempt Redgecko!
