This is really inspiring-- I watched Wendy Berns free motion class, but have yet to use it for anything-- I've been sending my quilts to a longarm person-- it's the easy way out!
This piece is an inspiration! I've got the same course, but having devoted lots of time to the 2012 BOM, I haven't got started on it yet. Now I just can't wait to get going (and there's a 2013 BOM to do too - I shall need to live until I'm 200 years old!) Well done - you've shown me how practice makes perfect!
Oh yes, do it, Ann is such a wonderful instructor. She really opened my eyes and gave me the courage to experiement and challenge myself with the quilting part of quilting. I've got three more practice pieces I'm playing with right now to teach myself other stiches and practice practice practice is such fun. I like using white or cream fabric and colored threads. or black fabric and colored threads. don't wait for the class, practice and explore what you can do just by doodling.
Thank you. I have to say I'd never considered doing so many different things with a quilt until your class. You're truly enspiring, and I'm so glad I have your class to keep refering to. Thank you for being such an inspiration and for sharing your knowlege and more, you love of quilting.
This is beautiful work! I'm just a beginner, but this is very inspiring. I look forward to seeing new designs and maybe learning from you. Thank you for posting this and your other work.
Yep! did it all on my little Singer, I worked on it for about 10 hours quilting alone, the front part took me about 4 hours. I took it to work yesterday and one of my co-workers quickly claimed it, so it's found a loving home, and I need to start on more practice.
