What materials did you use? Free motion quilting foot

What are you most proud of? I took Cindy's wonderful class a little over a year ago and I couldn't even do a free motion meander at that point. After learning the basics here, this is an example of my progress.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Really practice your free motion skills. It is such a confidence builder. Don't be afraid to not be perfect. Start by doing baby quilts or something that will be washed as the mistakes aren't as apparent after going through the washing machine.

I love this piece! If your sewing machine will allow it, you might try using a smaller needle to decrease the size of your needle holes. I think you will like experimenting with a 70/10 needle and fine silk thread. Kimono silk by Superior is a dream to quilt detailed areas like this one. Keep up the great work!!!

Thank you for the suggestions on the needle size and thread. I had been wondering if I should move down in needle size. I also have been wanting to try the kimono silk thread. I love Superior threads but haven't had the opportunity to try the kimono silk yet.

Very pretty. I am really liking the look of all the trapunto pieces.
