Lovely design n colors! Which of Colette's class if u dont mind-a piece of cake or vintage cake modern methods?

Hello Sehr, thank you for the compliment. I actually got inspiration from one of Colette's books, Cakes to Dream on: Master Class in Decorating. I highly recommend it!

Thanks Sonia. Yes I have the book n I love the "cake for Michelangelo" but simply cant get how she does the roses swag on bottom tier. First I thought it was a mold then she goes on to explain something entirely different-n there she lost me totally lol. I did see something alike by Joshua John Russell too! If you would be kind enough to explain-I'd be really grateful! TIA

I love the texture in the centre. How did you do that?

Hi florabundacake, the middle tier is actually a 4"4" cake dummy. I used royal icing tinted pink, and with my small offset spatula, I smoothed it on and pulled the spatula out toward me every few strokes to create that textured effect. Once the icing set over night, I used gold luster diluted in vodka to randomly paint the accent.
