What was your inspiration?

Grandma was my inspiration, and I also like creating useful projects that can help enhance a persons life.

What are you most proud of?

Grandma taught me how to crochet, glad to be able to help others to learn new projects, and teaching the younger generation.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Easy to do for beginners, or those more advance. A quick project when you need a gift in a hurry.

i think it makes perfect sense, i have that single crochet pattern too, and it sucks! by folding all 4 corners into the center then slip stitching the thing together, you at least know how to get your potholders to be same size and lay flat! and i hate single crochet, i do way more double crochet =) thanks for sharing your pattern girl.

The directions don't make sense. Do you crochet a chain of 40 +3 and double crochet in each chain and then double crochet on the opposite side of the chain and keep crocheting around and around till it's a big enough square and positon the corners diagonally to get the diagonal pattern? I think I have a similar potholder in single crochet given to me and was told to crochet on both sides of the chain and keep going around and around till big enough. Is that similar to what your pattern is?

No its not similar.. Its a dbl crochet potholder, and I folded it to look the way they do. I will see if I can come up with clearer instructions for them. Its my first time of writing out instructions.
